In 2018, La Maison Tarbouriech transformed a former 18th-century “folie” (bourgeois holiday home) and its adjoining wine storehouse into a charming hotel residence. Fifteen suites and lodges have been created between the vineyards and the lagoon, along with a restaurant serving simple, local cuisine and an Ostréathérapie® Spa that draws all its benefits from oysters and their environment. The history of Domaine Tarbouriech is closely linked to that of Marseillan, one of the oldest villages in France, dating back to the 6th century BC. A picturesque 17th-century port where the Canal du Midi empties into the sea, Marseillan became the second-largest port in the Hérault department in the 19th century, thanks to the wine and aperitif trade, including the famous Vermouth Noilly Prat.
